When I first heard about Simun, I was really not looking forward to it. Then when we were assigned the work pages to do, I didn’t want to even think about Simun. Then Simun came and my country was Japan another thing that didn’t please me about the Simun experience. In all honesty I didn’t like Simun, I think that it’s a good program for kids who are looking to do things like that or are looking for a career as to where you would need to be speaking. For me personally, I don’t think that this experience will ever come in handy in my life.
When It came down to it I think I did pretty well. The only reason I was speaking from day one though, is because my country was part of the scenario. I was forced to speak on my very first day of Simun. Considering it was my first day, I felt confident that I did well in defending my country and making sure no one went to war over any situations. On the second day of Simun, my country was thrown back out there, and brought up into the second scenario. Again, I wasn’t too happy that I had to speak, but I did it anyways so that I could receive a passing grade.
I wasn’t prepared for Simun, I thought I was because of all the work I did for Mrs.B. and all the assignments and research. When it came down to it though its more about being able to speak and thinking quick. The one day that she gave us a chance to practice the way it would really be in Simun, I didn’t do anything, because I thought that I was prepared. That was a big mistake because the next day when Simun was here, it hit me hard. Having to stand up and speak is one thing that I hate to do.
I actually don’t plan on staying in global Education. I only joined G.E. because my parents said it would look good on my college app. But I’ve recently realized I have to do things for me. I don’t like global education. I’m okay with the English class, but when it comes to the world events, not really my thing. If I were to stay in global education I would just practice speaking more, and try to get myself more involved with every scenario.

Taliban, pakistan
My country is Japan, and I believe that in this situation Japan would side with the U.S. Japan would Side with America for many reason's, to start a main reason is, Japan doesn't even have a military. NATO hasn't allowed for them to, so siding with the U.S. would benefit Japan. The Taliban is producing weapons, or are in possession of nuclear weapons, which can be used at any moment. That in itself is a huge problem. Having these types of weapons just floating around makes it unsafe for any country in the world that the Taliban may be against. Back in 2001 dealing with the September 11th bombing Japan sided with the U.S. when they were having to bomb in afghan before Taliban surrendered its hold on Kandahal. Japan's government made it clear that after the September bombings that they are for world peace and security. Having nuclear weapons going around, isn't quite secure. Although Japan may not have any country to country problems with Pakistan or previous problems with Taliban, they side with America and wouldn't want one of their allies to get bombed. As I stated before, Japan has no army or military, so being an Allie to the U.S. would get them involved, and force them to have to do something if Taliban were to target America in retaliation. Japan is also trying to clean up after their recent problems with their nuclear power plants containing uranium. If they were to side with Taliban on this issue they would being under close watch, which is one of the last things they want after having to put their power plants on hold to inspections. Japan and Britain working on reintegrating the Taliban foot soldiers, building up a fund that the U.S. is taking part in. Their working on building up money to get the soldiers jobs considering most of the men in the Taliban are only in it for the money considering the fact that their countries economy is very low at the moment with the war on terror.

Reality
In life most of us grow up hearing, that when you move out reality is much harder than you think, and that the real world isn’t always what it appears. Yet as we grow nearer to the day we leave our parents, we begin to question if their right; Most teens stay at home until they come of age and never get a chance to really live until they move out. Other’s take a chance and leave home; Hanging out with friends all day, doing what they want on their own terms, leaving their parents to sit in their comforting well rounded home’s never seeing what’s truly best for their children, and babying them until its turned their child into the complete opposite of what they had planned for. Even if it’s just for a short weekend, or a longer period of time when kids leave their parents they have some of the best times of their lives; These are the times when kids realize whether or not their ready for the real world, Their faced with it when they’re on their own, and some, are fit for it and ready to go into what we look at as ‘The Real World’. The independent ones who grew up having to do for themselves, tend to do better when it comes down to it.
Some kids grew up always living up to their parents standards and following rules; The strict boundaries that their parents sent for them. Moving out or running away is a big deal, for anyone and once your out either you can handle it or not. Me personally I can handle it. But I realized that running away isnt good because the cops get involved and that gets you absolutly no where.

Wayne’s World
Over this past week, Lil Wayne; Dwayne Carter left his court meeting, for an aching tooth. He was charged with felony gun possession, on July 7th 2007, when the police pulled over his tour bus over also arresting one of his friends on the bus for criminal possession of marijuana. He pleaded guilty to these charges on October 22nd 2009; he was in possession of a 40 caliber semi automatic, when he was arrested, right after his concert in New York. That night at his concert he had repeated numerous times how the police were hassling him, and he had even threatened not to perform in New York ever again. On his court date on February 2nd 2010 he had to leave the court room due to emergency dental problems. His sentence is rescheduled for March 2nd, where he will be sentenced eight to ten months in jail. Part of his plea deal includes taking away his passport; he will also be serving this in a city jail rather than a state prison.
This sentencing is coming right at the peak of Lil’ Wayne’s music career. For the past two years Lil’ Wayne has been at the top of every hip hop chart. Gucci Mane La’ flare was just recently sentenced to a year in jail leaving it up to Wayne, considering that they were to two top artists. They still will, be both having albums that came out and Wayne’s should come out once he’s in prison. Gucci’s album name is Roderick Davis Vs. the state, and Lil’ Wayne’s is Lil’ Wayne Vs. the State. These albums are previously recorded so that they have music still coming out once their locked up. He was told that he can’t push back his court date’s anymore after doing so from July 2007.
Lil’ Wayne has been one of the most influential artists since 2006, and the day he gets out of prison he will be right back on top. He will me greatly missed by the music industry and fans. Drake in an interview, was saying that, “this is good for Wayne and that N*gga’s who always get money, eight month’s ain’t nothin’ I know some that have been locked up for 20 years.” Gucci Mane La flare has been making money selling albums on iTunes and selling CDs in stores still making money when he’s locked up, I assume it will be the same for Lil’ Wayne.

War on terror
War on terror
In today’s war on terror, Afgahnastan needs our help to fight off the Taliban.
The reason why I think that America should help the small villages in Afghan is because we can get more military force from their people, and it will help push back Taliban. They said that their willing to give us one man for each house hold. If we were to donate money to them and they gave a man to stop Taliban, we wouldn’t be sacrificing our own men. Taliban is trying to take over this rural village, although their located in Afghanistan their fully against Taliban and everything that they stand for. So they feel the same way that America feels about the Taliban, so if they don’t support the Taliban why not help them, their basically American supporters. So why not help them?
They want to rid their land of the Taliban just as bad as America wants to. They agreed to give a man from each house to fight off Taliban if the U.S. is to donate money to the so that they can buy weapons and other needs to fight them off. Their men can work with our troops that we already have located there that way we could transfer some of our men to much busier places. Their only problem is, that they don’t have enough, if any money to buy the supplies that they need to fight them off, so that’s why they offered to give men for money from the U.S. The amount we would donate to them isn’t even close to the amount of money we pay to supply our troops, and the emotional toll it takes on their families who are losing loved ones.
A counter argument to this would be that, they’re their own place/people and we shouldn’t pay them to something that our troops are already doing, and something that they should be able to do on their own. Also another leading factor as to why we shouldn’t would be the major fact that our economy is hurting. More so then anywhere else in this world.

Run Away
It was a brisk winter night, when I got into a fight with Nick the so called ‘head of the house’. Nick always tried to rule over everything and control everything that went on in the house, but little did he know that Taylor was just waiting to explode and finally show him what she thought of him. The night started out like any other night, it was Christmas Eve Eve when this all began, the Zembylas family was sitting around the open fire talking as usual discussing ‘business’ and politics, as they do, considering Nick was the prime minister of Livonia. Taylor was minding her own business on facebook when she noticed that everyone was yelling and fighting. When she turned to see what was going on she noticed that her mother had a torch in her hand and was saying she would burn the house down if Nick didn’t stop yelling at her and Alex; Taylor’s sister. Taylor was getting quite annoyed with all the fuss when she decided to yell “ Shut Up”! this didn’t seem to sit so well with Nick.
Nick went up to Taylor and slammed the computer shut interlocking her fingers within it; Alex jumped in and tried desperately to remove her fingers from the laptop. Taylor was ticked off at this point and couldn’t take it any more so she grabbed the keys and made a break for it. Running to the car she jumped in and drove off, her mother and Alex were blowing you phone up saying she needed to get back home, and informing her that Nick had went in his car to look for her. So Taylor drove the car home left the keys in the ignition and left on foot. Not leaving a single clue as to where she was headed.
Taylor was calling people to come and get her, when she finally got a hold of someone it was already 11:30 , she got in the car and left with Crazy bones, and headed for his mansion. When they got there Taylor came to notice that there were a lot of people over, almost as if there was a party. So Taylor went in and got comfortable realizing that it was a lot of people that she knew. As she was sitting there enjoying herself talking and what not, she heard a doorbell. Crazy bones dad came running down the stairs yelling saying “Tell your friends to use the back door”! So crazy bones ran up stairs to answer the door, only to see Nick. Taylor’s heart had been beating since she heard the doorbell ring.
He answered the door, “Ehh is Taylor here?” said Nick
“Uhh no, haven’t seen her, why?” –Crazy bones
“She’s gone missing, is she in here by any chance?”-Nick
“Like I said, haven’t heard from her all night”-Crazy bones
“Mind if I come take a peek?”-Nick
“Actually my parents are asleep, but if I here from her, I’ll let you know?”-Crazy bones
“Okay?”-Crazy bones
“Uhhh well okay…”-Nick
Crazy bones ran down the stairs laughing, taking some of the pressure off of her. Crazy bones told her exactly what he said and added some extra side comments. Everyone was crowding her asking her why she ran away, so she told them. Taylor ended up staying the night at crazy bones, and he drove her home the next day where the police were waiting for her. When she walked in they asked where she’d been, she replied “Redford”. That’s when the cops began to interrogate her, but she wouldn’t talk. So they said they were arresting her for stealing the car and driving it. Yet still she wouldn’t talk. So they cuffed her and brought her to the station, where she got finger printed and put in a holding cell. They decided to let her out because it was Christmas Eve, but this wouldn’t be the last time they had to deal with her. It turned out to be a quite the Christmas break!

Happy New years every one!!!!
So I rang in the new year with some friends and then I ended going home because of a lot of drama that happened at my friend Mitch's house. I didn't exactly want to be there during all of it so I got a ride home. The next was awful I got into another fight with my dad so I went and stayed the nght at a friends house, then I was talking to a few o my friends and heard that a few of them got into some serious trouble on new years eve ngiht. Which obviously is never good, and since their really close friends so I was feeling for them. Then my boyfriend seemed to disppear of the face of the earth no phone calls or anything I was worried, but a few days later he finally got in contact with me, he also had gotten in to trouble on new years eve night. I was glad to say that I wasn't with any of them, although it seemed that just about every one mad bad choices on new year's eve. I was quite surprised, for a lot of people it made them ring in a bad new years. Somthing things that I could gladly leave behind me from 2009 are the fact that I move twice, I didn't think I'd move again although I might be again. Some good things that happened are me meeting a lot of new people at Stevenson like my boyfriend, Eric J. All of my girlfriends; Brittany, June, Bianca, and of course the guys; Chris, Romi, Chris, Devan, Yousef, and well there's a lot more but im not making a list just my main people. For the most part my new year hasn't seemed like much of a different year at all. Except for the fact that I've already had t deal with a lot of serious drama, other then that aspect of it, it's been great! Hop every one else is having a spectacular new years.
Family traditions
My family doesn't exactly have any tradition, other then eating dinner on the holidays, and also going to church at night. We do that for just about every big holiday; Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and that's it. We always go to church on these hoidays and then when we getout of church, which is always late, at least twelve o'clock or so, thats when we go home and eat dinner. On easter we get together with my god parents and go to church because my god father is the preist at Assumption church in grosse point. Im greek orthodox so when we fast we cant have dairy or meat for forty days andforty nights, not just on certain days either it's every day. So the whole week leading up to easter we go to church morning and night and between that time my family and my god family goes to Mcdonalds and orders like a million orders of large fries, because it's just about the only thing we can eat from there. Then easter night we get out of church at like three O'clock, and go eat dinner at my Nouna's house (god mother). Easter is probably my favorite holiday just because of this and every one always seems to be in such a good mood all week. Christmas time in my house is'nt as extravagent as it seems to be for other familes, because my family just goes to church Christmas Eve night and then come home and oen a single gift then go to bed, this year was different because I got mad at my parents and left, on christmas eve, they werent to pleased with me the next morning! I stayed a really good friends house though were basically family so their parents didnt mind me staying there. New years eve in my house hold isnt anything special we all seem to do our own thing.
The power of one.
The Power of One, that film really touched me. It made me realize in order to change something you must stick to what you believe in and never give up no matter what. Peekay is the definition of determination in this film, he goes through hardship after hardship. One of the many hardships that Peekay had to go through was when he was abused by the other children at the school, and being hung up side down and being peed on. Also he had to deal with the death of a really close friend, you may have even considered him family to Peekay; Geel piet. This film showed more of how it affected other districts in the country an also how it affects the kids, which to me is a big part of a countries… well everything, it’s the younger generation that hold everything in it’s hands. This film showed every different perspective from a white man to a black prisoner. It also showed that there really isn’t a difference in people, you can’t judge a person based on their skin color. In this film Peekay’s girlfriend show’s us this by changing her way’s and the way that she was raised once she got to know how nice the colored people really are. One part of the film that I really enjoyed, or that touched me was when the village was being raided when Peekay was there, and they were shooting people and trying to find him so that they could kill him. The part that I liked about this was when Peekay saw a man being beaten because the white man couldn’t find what he was looking for; Peekay. So he sneaks up on the white man and attacks him, but then when Peekay is about to be trying to kill him.killed he colored friend came up and saved his life by killing the white man who was
